Tim Mälzer started his TV career at Vox in 2003. Now the man from Hamburg has extended his collaboration with the broadcaster under the umbrella of RTL Germany. Fans of the 52-year-old can look forward to new projects.
The Hamburg chef and restaurateur Tim Mälzer has been on television for 20 years – now the 52-year-old has extended and expanded his partnership with RTL Germany. RTL Germany announced on Tuesday that the contract will also include audio, print, digital and social media offerings.
He should also help develop new concepts. Apart from new episodes of the already running Vox programs “Kitchen Impossible” and “Mälzer und Henssler deliver!” and the RTL program “Viva la Diva – Who is the Queen?” and the culinary podcast “Fiete Gastro”, new projects are also planned. According to the information, Mälzer is currently working on a cookbook that is to be published by the mosaic publishing house in autumn 2023.
Mälzer now wants to bundle its activities for the next few years under the umbrella of RTL. “I’ve been a child of the Bertelsmann family for years. I’m actually a real believer here. And I’m sure I can still discover a few new playing fields for myself in this set-up,” said the 52-year-old, according to the announcement.
Mälzer started his cooking show “It doesn’t taste good” on German television in 2003. Most recently, the documentary “Zum Schwarzwälder Hirsch – an extraordinary kitchen crew and Tim Mälzer” caused a stir. The show, in which a team of people with trisomy 21 wanted to get fit for the restaurant business, has been nominated for the Grimme Prize 2023.
