Cinema: Hollywood stars Douglas and Pfeiffer: Joy over younger fans

The film “Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania” hits theaters today and also appeals to a younger audience – much to the delight of the two celebrities.

Hollywood star Michael Douglas (78, “Basic Instinct”) is pleased that he is reaching a younger audience through his role in the “Ant-Man” films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Most of my films were from the age of 16, especially the well-known ones,” said Douglas of the German Press Agency in London. “So my kids haven’t been able to see a lot of my films for a long time. So now I’m enjoying having a slightly younger audience that kind of connects with these characters.”

Michelle Pfeiffer is also enthusiastic

His colleague Michelle Pfeiffer (64, “Scarface”), who also stood in front of the camera with him again for “Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania”, feels the same way. “I just spoke to someone whose eight-year-old son saw the movie first and he thinks I’m so cool,” Pfeiffer gushed, laughing. “And that’s one of the biggest compliments for me.”

A colorful comic spectacle

In the film, Douglas and Pfeiffer play Hank and Janet. They are the parents of Hope aka The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), the girlfriend of Scott Lang aka Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). In the wacky, colorful comic spectacle, the four end up in a crazy dimension where the laws of time and space do not apply. There they will face many strange creatures and a powerful super villain named Kang the Conqueror.
