“We have been testing the development of Pet Nat for several years and, at the beginning of 2020, we decided to test it on a larger scale and launch it for sale. The Pet Nat was made in February. In March, due to pandemic reasons, hotels, restaurants and shops were closed and their sale generated a lot of uncertainty. We finally decided to launch it anyway. The truth is that the place of consumption changed in those months and it was a success, it was sold out in a short time and we had to increase production by 2021. Personally, 2020 was a year in which I worked much more than others, the demand and consumption has been very good. The Pet Nat, as well as the Naranjo that we also launched in a pandemic, had a very good acceptance and this motivates us to continue rehearsing and looking for releases every year ”, he adds Lorena Mulet, oenologist of the aforementioned winery.

The third is Pyros Chardonnay. Paula Gonzalez, Winemaker of Pyros Wines, says: “I am very happy with the launch of Pyros Appellation Chardonnay, since it is the first white to be added to our portfolio. It was a wine designed and developed from the vineyard, something different where Valle de Pedernal shows all its stamp. It is a Chardonnay where acidity predominates along with minerality and notes of green apple and stone fruits appear, characteristics of a cold continental climate and soils with good calcareous content ”, says González.

For this we are deepening, together with the team that leads Gustavo Matocq– Agronomist Engineer – an exhaustive study of micro climates and micro terroirs that allow us to express each sector within our vineyard to the maximum detail ”, concludes the young winemaker.

The Roussanne-Marsanne because it is a blend widely used in France, but it is not very typical neither for sparkling wines nor in Argentina. As it was the anniversary of the brand, we had to mark that line of innovation well. There are very few bottles that seek to reflect that spirit that we have of doing different things, “he says.
