Ed Sheeran: Singer plays children’s hospital concert

British superstar Ed Sheeran (32) is on his “The Mathematics” tour in Australia. The singer has so far allowed himself little rest between trips and performances, instead he paid a visit to children’s hospitals and played his hits for the little patients, their parents and the staff.

“Thank you Ed Sheeran for stopping by today and creating wonderful memories for our patients and families,” the Sydney Children’s Hospital said last Saturday. “Be it by singing your famous tunes, answering all the questions or taking selfies with everyone present.” An accompanying clip shows the singer and guitar during his hospital visit. You can also see the enthusiastic children clapping along to his songs, asking him questions through the microphone or taking photos with him.

A week ago, Sheeran also stopped at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. can be seen serenading a young girl in her patient’s room during his surprise visit.

In another post, which included pictures of the celebrity visitor, who was casual in a white shirt, green shorts and trainers, the hospital said: “A big heartfelt thank you to the amazing Ed Sheeran. Thank you for the memories you created today – and all the best for the rest of your tour. Stop by anytime. And a belated Happy Birthday too!” On February 17, the musician celebrated his 32nd birthday.

The station had a special surprise waiting for a patient: she was allowed to sing with Ed Sheeran. “The cameraman told him I could sing, so I just started singing,” she told the TV show. “It was the best thing I’ve experienced in my entire life. Meeting Ed Sheeran was amazing.”

These aren’t the first concerts Sheeran has given to his youngest fans. At the beginning of February he had already surprised children in several schools in Auckland, New Zealand.
