Society: Ke Huy Quan thinks more changes are possible at Oscars

He is nominated for one of his roles as Best Supporting Actor. The native Vietnamese also sees this as a positive sign of “drastic changes” at the Oscars.

Actor Ke Huy Quan (51) highlighted the nomination of Asian actors in important categories ahead of this year’s Oscars. “When something like this happens, it only strengthens my belief that drastic changes are possible,” he said in a “People” interview. The Vietnamese native is nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once. The Oscars will be presented in Los Angeles on March 12th.

The Oscar nomination is also special for him because “Everything Everywhere All at Once” was nominated at the same time as “The Fabelmans” by director Steven Spielberg. “This man changed my life when I was a little kid – he gave me not one but two great movies,” Quan said, referring to his roles in The Goonies and Indiana Jones, according to People and the Temple of Doom”.
