Again in line with the motto “Peace and Love”, ex-Beatle Ringo Starr celebrated his 81st birthday in Beverly Hills.
Ex-Beatle Ringo Starr celebrated his 81st birthday in California under the sign of “peace and love”.
Starr posed with his wife Barbara Bach (73), “Eagles” guitarist Joe Walsh (73) and other guests in Beverly Hills in front of a “Peace and Love” sculpture he had created. Dozens of fans voted for a “Happy Birthday” serenade. Exactly at 12 noon (local time), Starr cheered on the crowd with the peace hand signal and “Peace and Love” shouts.
The peace sign has long become the musician’s trademark. He greets people with the motto and adds his messages to social media. On his birthday in 2008, the drummer and singer started the ritual with the hope of worldwide imitation, so that at noon on July 7th, the call for “Peace and Love” sounds. Every year fans do the same in different places including England, Spain and Brazil.
