New sanitary measures

For its reopening, after the doors closed due to the pandemic, the Mercure Iguazú trained all its staff in the new safety and hygiene measures to ensure compliance with physical distancing; disposal of alcohol gel in common spaces; increased frequency of cleaning and disinfection activities in high-contact areas; deep cleaning of rooms with hospital grade cleaning products and materials; menu with QR code; Quick check in and check out, with contactless payment terminals.

In addition, through Accor’s worldwide partnership with AXA, a world leader in insurance, Mercure Iguazú guests in need of urgent medical assistance will receive free access to top-of-the-line medical teleconsultations, with an extensive network of medical professionals.

Water care

Being located in a natural environment, the Mercure Iguazú prioritizes its care through various sustainability policies. One of them addresses water care. The hotel uses this natural resource in three different service networks, which are supplied by a pump that draws water from a borehole.

The most important network is the one for sanitary use, which supplies all the faucets, kitchens, bathrooms, spa and swimming pool of the hotel and its use is measured by a flow meter installed by Aguas Misioneras. The second is the irrigation network, which is also very large, since the hotel has 4 and a half hectares. Finally, it has a water network for fires.

To offer guests safe water, Mercure Iguazú performs physical-chemical analyzes of the water on a monthly and quarterly basis. In other words, the resource that comes out of the pumps goes through the purification process, where the chlorine is distributed with a certain graduation until there are no microbes or bacteria left.

Mercure Iguazú promises a different getaway as a couple, with friends or as a family in a privileged, safe environment, away from the crowds and close to nature and outdoor life.
