Austria hope Monika Willi misses the Oscar gala for a painful reason

“Unfortunately, Monika Willi had to cancel her trip to the Oscars because she had an accident and with a concussion – on the advice of her doctors – was not allowed to take such a long flight,” says a statement to the APA.

The 54-year-old is nominated for her work on Todd Field’s conductor portrait “Tár”. The Viennese-by-choice is the only woman in her section to be nominated for best editing this year.
