İlkay Gündoğan (32) has become a father for the first time. The soccer star and his wife Sara (28) announced the birth of their first child. In a post, the couple shared three black-and-white photos showing the new parents in the hospital with their young son. “Our love is here,” the couple wrote, revealing that their boy’s name is Kais Gündoğan and he was born on March 15.
The first congratulations on the birth were not long in coming. “Congratulations Bro. I hope the family is doing well,” commented colleague Jérôme Boateng (34) on the post. “Congratulations. Welcome little quays,” wrote Ann-Kathrin Götze (33). There were more loving words and lots of heart emojis from player wife Christina Ginter, singer Johannes Strate (42) and the account of his current club Manchester City.
The engagement in 2021 was followed by a dream wedding in 2022
İlkay Gündoğan and his Sara tied the knot in Copenhagen in May 2022. The dream wedding celebration in Italy followed in June. They have been engaged since December 2021. The two made the pregnancy public in November 2022.
