So far, anyone who has survived corona disease has only been able to prove this with a letter from the health department. Now it should also be possible via the app – but not yet for everyone who has recovered.
From this Friday on, digital corona vaccination certificates should also be available in pharmacies for those who have recovered who have also received a vaccination.
The necessary technical solution has now been implemented, as announced by the German Pharmacists’ Association in Berlin. More than 20 million vaccination certificates have already been issued via the pharmacy system, said chairman Thomas Dittrich. For citizens who have gone through an infection and therefore only received a single vaccination afterwards, it was technically not yet possible. “Now it’s working.”
In order to get the digital proof to show on the mobile phone, those who have recovered would have to present three documents to the pharmacy: ID with photo, proof of a positive PCR test and proof of the one-time vaccination, for example in the yellow vaccination book. “After all, there are more than 3.7 million recovered people in the country, many of whom have since been vaccinated,” said Dittrich. “The vaccination certificate can help you to enjoy the summer and vacation time more carefree”. The offer is free for citizens, pharmacies receive a good 5.04 euros plus VAT.
