It’s the defining aspect of the last 10 years of my life, pretty much the last decade.”

Added Matarazzo: “There’s a kind of excitement there because you always want to finish and you want to see how these characters will ultimately play out for the last time and how their journeys will end. But there is also a deep fear. Not only has it been amazing, but it’s been great job security for a while. Back to being independent.”
Matarazzo then spoke about his hopes for his character, saying, “I think he’s in the best hands he can be. matt and ross [Duffer] They know these characters better than I think we could.”
“And it’s really interesting because they trust us so much to make our own decisions and approach scenes the way we’ve always instinctively wanted to. I’ve never really given myself a chance to think about what they might want to do and now is the best time to start.”
