Action icon Sylvester Stallone (“Rocky”, “Rambo”) would like to devote himself to painting again, in his own words. “It’s time to start painting again,” the 76-year-old wrote on Instagram. The actor also posted photos of several paintings. For him, painting is similar to writing a screenplay for a short film. “But instead of words, you use brushstrokes and colors to tell your story.”
The actor and filmmaker has been painting since he was a young man and has also worked intensively with contemporary art as a collector. In December 2021, Stallone showed a comprehensive exhibition of his artworks in Germany for the first time. The Hollywood star presented a large retrospective in the Osthaus Museum in Hagen.
