In Argentine cinemas, and although the number of seats sold had March as its least profitable month, a quarter was completed where the influx of the public grew by 43% in relation to the same period in 2022 and achieved the best mark since 2019.

From January to March, 8,690,685 people attended local theaters and the most viewed films in that period were “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” (2,395,740), “Avatar: The Water Path” (2,138,817 ) and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” (766,231), detailed a report by the consulting firm Ultracine.

Specifically in the month that has just ended, 2,157,694 tickets were sold and attendance at theaters increased by 3.9% compared to last year.
In March and in relation to local films, “Asfixiados” occupied 35,560 seats and thus became the third highest-grossing national film of 2023.
