Claus Müller is dead. The longtime sports presenter died at the age of 61 after a short, serious illness.

Sports presenter Claus Müller has died at the age of 61. According to the statement, Müller unexpectedly succumbed to a short, serious illness on April 4th. From day one, Müller worked as a reporter, commentator, moderator and department head for the sports broadcaster, which initially started as DSF in 1993. He “decisively shaped the station”: “In him we lose a warm-hearted, helpful colleague who was full of optimism and joie de vivre.”

Müller first studied at the Sports University in Cologne and from the mid-1980s embarked on his career as a sports journalist. Among others, he has also worked for the Kölner Express, Radio Charivari, Tele5, Premiere and Liga Total. Most recently, he also worked for the streaming service DAZN. “CM you fine person. I’m shocked. Incredibly sad.”
