Jack Black confirmed that there will be a meeting for the 20 years of School of Rock

Jack Black confirmed that he will meet with the cast of School of Rock (school of rock) to celebrate that the film turns 20 this 2023.

The comedy debuted in 2003 and saw the actor take on the role of aspiring rock star turned substitute teacher, Dewey Finn. 20 years later, Black confirmed that he will be arranging to reunite with his co-stars later this year, and a sequel to the film may be in the works.

News of the sequel was first teased by the actor in an interview with SiriusXMwhen asked if he would ever consider making a sequel to two of his fan-favorite releases: School of Rock and Tenacious D in The Pick Of Destiny. “Yes. Both of us,” she replied. “Breaking news. We are thinking of doing both.”

While plans for the projects remain vague, Black also confirmed that he wants to meet his co-stars for the anniversary later this year.

The film will be 20 years old in October and, speaking with Entertainment Tonight on Saturday (April 1), the 53-year-old admitted he’s going to find it strange to see the former child actors after so long. “All those kids, get this, they were 10 when we made that movie and now they’re like 30.”said.

“We will come together and celebrate a 20-year anniversary. We like to improvise,” she continued. “I’m really looking forward to seeing all the adults at School of Rock.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Black assured fans that he will “100 percent” share footage of the upcoming reunion on social media.

In 2013, the cast reunited to celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary. To commemorate the event, they performed at the Gibson Austin Showroom and played several songs from the film.

Unfortunately, the one who will not be able to be part of the meeting is the actor kevin clark, who played drummer Freddy ‘Spazzy McGee’ Jones, who died after being hit by a car. The collision occurred when Jones was riding a bicycle in Chicago. He was 32 years old.
