The day after camera woman Halyna Hutchins was killed by an accidental shot from a prop gun, the police are investigating the background of the incident. He was outside of a “wooden structure” that was being shot. Baldwin was supposed to leave a church for the scene and pull out his pistol, which was unloaded in the planning.

According to the decision, assistant director Dave Halls then removed the pistol from the car, brought it inside and handed it over to Baldwin. He was not aware that she was charged, writes the investigator. It can be deduced from this that the police also assume that Baldwin was not aware of this fact. Neither Halls nor the person in charge of the guns on set, Hannah Gutierrez, could be reached by the agency for comment.
According to the decision, the investigators wanted to investigate the location, Baldwin’s bloodied costume, the ultimately fatal firearm, as well as other prop weapons from the set, their ammunition and any possibly existing footage of the incident.
