With the arrival of 96,000 Argentine and foreign visitors, most of them from the neighboring country of Chile, Mendoza experiences a long Easter weekend full of tourists eager to visit its rivers, mountains, wineries and all the cultural offer that on this date celebrates ‘Classical Music along the Wine Roads’.
“Mendoza advances as a tourist pole at the national level, with tourism all year round. Easter is an important date for the activity and the province is one of the best positioned destinations in the country,” said the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Nora. Vicar.
According to the numbers supplied by the Tourism portfolio, “it is expected that 96,000 visitors will enter this province during Easter Week, which has 45,000 official registered places, in addition to the informal ones and the houses of friends and relatives who take advantage of these four days to receive your loved ones”.
“Gran Mendoza registers 90% of hotel reservations, with an average stay of 4.22 nights and an average daily expense of $11,000,” they indicated.
Vicario said that, in the near future, and to obtain more spare parts and more days of stay, different activities are promoted from Sunday to Sunday from the provincial management.
“We started with Classical Music along the Wine Roads and its more than 60 concerts throughout the province and we will continue with Mendorock the following week,” he explained.
In its tenth presence and one of the pioneers in the cycle, Bodegas Roca today received tourists and residents of San Rafael “as a true honor to be able to offer this cultural proposal that is always a success and open the doors of the establishment to people with all the aromas of the full harvest, a pleasure that is also enjoyed as a family every year”, Alejandro Roca commented to Telam, just before the performance of the Nautas duo.
“To this are added festivals, 204 wineries from the wine tourism network, nature, adventure, the Mendoza night, the excellent hotels, gastronomy and hospitality, which adds value to any proposal,” he said.
Meanwhile, in the southern zone, in San Rafael, the projections of the Directorate of Tourism show a reservation rate of 80%, with 10,000 registered places, which accounts for a long weekend with thousands of visitors staying in hotels, apart hotels and cabins.
“We expect the bulk of tourists today, many of them without reservations, which gives us very good prospects. After a full summer, we will have another very good performance for this weekend,” said the director of Tourism, Javier Muñoz.
From the Ministry of Tourism they affirmed that “Mendoza is among the three most sought-after destinations at Easter, along with the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and Puerto Iguazú, among other national destinations.”
Among the innumerable offers of nature, wine tourism and outdoor destinations, the cycle ‘Classical Music through the Wine Roads’ stands out these days, an anchor that adds value to Mendoza’s tourist and cultural agenda. This festival, which brings together important artists from the province, offers more than 60 concerts from April 2 to 9 in different parts of the province, and covers the 18 departments, cultural and religious spaces, and wineries.
There are more than 40 free concerts in cultural spaces in the 18 departments of Mendoza and 25 paid concerts that include food and wine proposals in wineries.
In addition, Mendoza residents and tourists will be able to enjoy a varied agenda of cultural, tourist and wine activities, where they will be able to see the different activities that can be carried out in Mendoza.

Mendoza is carrying out a strong campaign, nationally and internationally, with guidelines in Brazil, Peru and Chile. Now Uruguay has joined, with the “I wish you the best” campaign, whose spot shows different Mendoza landscapes during the fall season and the varied tourist offer to enjoy in the province.
Meanwhile, “Escape” is the other campaign that is active in Chile to promote Mendoza as a nearby destination for shopping and enjoying gastronomy and wellness tourism.
