To commemorate this day, a special celebration tour will be held in a 1947 model historical collective, in which personalities and references of the City will visit a series of emblematic bars passing through ten renowned bars in San Telmo and downtown Buenos Aires.

Members of the Dixieland group “Bander Jazz” will travel in the unit, who will offer a short show at each of the gastro-cultural stops along the route.

There, passers-by and followers of the caravan will be able to enjoy an allusive repertoire and will receive as a gift postcards made especially for the celebration with illustrations created by the renowned architect and draftsman Horacio Spinetto.

Hippo and Briton

It is located on Avenida Brasil 401, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of San Telmo.

The place opens its doors from Monday to Thursday, from 7.30 to 2. From Friday to Saturday, from 7.30 to 3. Sunday, from 8 to 2.

The northwest corner of Brazil and Defense invites you to enter a three-story building. Its history begins in the twentieth century, exactly, from 1909, when it was called “The Star of the South”.

Cordiality and good service are combined, along with pizzas, special sandwiches and snacks, while in the sweet you can find dulce de leche or apple pancakes.

The Federal
