“Harry Potter” becomes a series

Fans of the great narratives of the moving image can rejoice: there will be new productions “game of Thrones”, “Harry Potter” and “star Wars” give.

The US streaming service HBO Max announced two series events. The Adventures of Sorcerer’s Apprentice “Harry Potter”, which became a hit as a feature film, are to be made into a TV series. Author J.K. Rowling will serve as executive producer. The runtime of the series with a new cast for Harry, Ron and Hermione is currently set for ten years. Also a new spin-off from the universe of the series “game of Thrones” (“GoT”) is announced “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight” is in time before “game of Thrones” created and thus plays in an era in which the Targaryen line still sits on the Iron Throne: According to HBO Max, not only a pilot episode was ordered, but directly a season. It is said to be produced by fantasy author George RR Martin (74), among others. He wrote the “The Song of Ice and Fire”-Books on which “game of Thrones” based. His series of novels “Tales of Dunk and Egg” should serve as a template for the new spin-off episodes.

With “House of the Dragon” there is already a series on the history of “GoT”. A second season is in the works. The series focuses on House Targaryen.

The “war of stars” is also expanding: Daisy Ridley will be reprising her role as Rey in a feature film set after Episode 9, with three more feature films in the pipeline. Furthermore, a series called “Star Wars Ahsoka” announced for Disney+.
