With the exception of its 1997 release, Jackie Brownwhich featured an intimate moment with robert deniro and Bridget Fondathe filmmaker reveals that he has no interest in portraying sex in his productions.

He also noted the logistical challenges of tackling sensual scenes on set: “And the truth is that, in real life, it is a pain to shoot sex scenes, everyone is very tense”. And he adds: “If it was already a bit of a problem to do before, it’s even more so now. If there had ever been a sex scene that was central to the story, I would have done it, but so far it hasn’t been necessary.” .”

In the wake of stars coming forward with cases where they felt exploited during intimate moments, steps have been taken to ensure that sex scenes are handled sensitively.
