Daddy Yanakee, one of the most recognized figures of reggaeton worldwide, announced this Monday his farewell to the stage. The Puerto Rican singer confirmed that his last concerts will be at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum of Puerto Rico between November 30 and December 3 of this year.

The tour will be called “The goal” and it will be the last live appearance of the “King of Reggaeton” who, although He had already announced his retirement from music in March 2022, he had not yet confirmed when his last performance would be. At first, I had planned to do these concerts in January in Puerto Rico, but were delayed due to “logistical setbacks and careful production details”as indicated last November by the promoter and production company Pina Records.


“Puerto Rico, now we are ready to say goodbye to my musical career as it deserves. This will be my greatest achievement, being with my people and with all those who will visit my beautiful island for my retirement,” he said.
In addition, in a statement in which he gave details about his farewell, Daddy Yankee expressed about his musical path: “The career it starts from when you start to breathe. As you grow, you look at which route to take, the easy but short path, or the one with obstacles but rewarding. That was the path I took in my life to become an artist who represented his island with a sound that came out of the neighborhood.“.
“For me It is gratifying to know that I say goodbye to the scenarios where I was born, where I live, in Puerto Rico. PR. And this I let’s celebrate with Reggaeton. I see you at the Colosseum so that everyone can enjoy ‘La Meta’ together,” the artist concluded.
Daddy Yankee said goodbye to the Argentine public with two historic concerts at the Vélez stadium that he gave last March, in which he displayed his skills as a rapper, and making it clear that reggaeton and hip-hop are part of the same musical family.
