Many children feel they have to choose after their parents divorce. Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s eldest daughter is very grateful that they both looked after her.
In her own words, US actress Rumer Willis is “incredibly grateful” that her famous parents Demi Moore and Bruce Willis raised her together after the divorce.
Both had tried “so hard all my life that I never felt I had to choose between them,” said the 33-year-old in an interview with People magazine, which was published on Monday.
With many of her friends, whose parents were also divorced, she saw “how their parents played them off against each other or they had to make decisions on the holidays,” said Willis. “I didn’t have to do that and I’m so grateful that my parents thought it was so important that we could be a family, even if it looked different.”
Rumer Willis is the oldest child of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. The couple were married from 1987 to 2000 and have two younger daughters together: Scout (30) and Tallulah (27).
