Kevin Spacey appeared in a UK court via video link on Friday morning as a judge confirmed the length and date of his criminal trial, which is scheduled for this winter.
According to UK media reports, the actor spoke only to confirm his full name, Kevin Spacey Fowlerand that he could hear the judge.
Spacey’s legal representative, attorney Patrick Gibbs KCattended the pre-trial hearing in person at Southwark Crown Court in South London.
The purpose of the mostly administrative hearing was to set the date and duration of the trial. Judge Wall confirmed that the trial will begin on June 28 and is scheduled to last four weeks, the London Evening Standard newspaper reported.
