The start date for Kevin Spacey’s likely four-week trial for multiple sex offenses has been announced.
The start date for the next trial against Kevin Spacey (63) has been announced: The trial against the actor begins on June 28, as announced on Friday at Southwark Crown Court in the UK. It’s scheduled for about four weeks.
Kevin Spacey took part in a pre-trial review in London on April 21 via video link. Wearing a gray suit, the 63-year-old confirmed his identity in court and attended a 15-minute hearing.
A total of twelve cases
Spacey faces a total of 12 cases of alleged sexual assault against four men in the UK. In January he pleaded not guilty to all seven counts at Southwark Crown Court. In July 2022, the actor had already pleaded not guilty to five charges of assault against three men between 2005 and 2013 in London’s Old Bailey Court. The cases are now expected to be heard in one trial.
In another case in the United States, the actor was able to record a legal victory in October last year. His fellow actor Anthony Rapp (51) had accused him of sexually molesting him in 1986 when Rapp was just 14 years old. The New York jury found Spacey not guilty.
