After eleven years of marriage it’s over. Actress Shannen Doherty, 52, filed for divorce from photographer Kurt Iswarienko on Friday, People magazine reported. “Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted,” Doherty rep Leslie Sloane told People. “Unfortunately, she felt she had no other option.”
According to reports from “TMZ”, Doherty and Iswarienko split in January. Shannen Doherty is said to be demanding child support from Kurt Iswarienko, according to People. The couple have no children together.

Shannen Doherty wants to use her fame to raise awareness about breast cancer and its treatment. She wants to show how the disease really is. “I feel like in my public life, which is separate from my acting life, I have a responsibility to speak out about cancer and maybe educate people more and let them know that people with Stage 4 are very much alive and very active are”, as “People” quotes Shannen Doherty.
The actress’ biggest wish is more research into cancer, new treatments and, ultimately, that the disease can be cured.
