Undertaking and expanding in Argentina is possible

Being an entrepreneur or entrepreneur in Argentina is a great challenge that demands a lot of personal creativity, that is why no one can teach what they have not learned. From my entrepreneurial and commercial essence, I have gone through my life with successful projects and also with some failures… This is inevitable. Everything is part of the path we must travel to become entrepreneurs.

In the process of founding your own company, it is essential to understand that there will always be ups and downs. There are adjustments that are revealed as necessary every week, and others we only become aware of over the years. This baggage will lead us to make different decisions and learn to distinguish our emotions from the projects that we promote… One fine day, we simply stop getting angry at failed attempts and start to care, just and necessary, about the opinion of others.

As an entrepreneur I have gone through almost everything: from starting with manual crafts and not sleeping at night to paint boxes, to being a retail-wholesale merchant and then becoming a wholesale distributor of artisan products. I also made children’s clothing and even lingerie, among many other things. And all in parallel to my activity as a coach.

Argentina, compared to other countries, is a generous place that allows us to grow as entrepreneurs. In fact, if we look at our history, we have infinite franchises and great businessmen and businesswomen who have started entrepreneurship, some without studies and others with specific skills. All those successful experiences began as just a dream. How did they do it? Here I share some tips that are the product of many years of work, reflection, trial and error.

Tips to start a business

First of all, you have to focus: your mind and your actions must be oriented to develop your project. A great initial step is to break with the belief that there will always be a limiting factor, for example a lack of money, when starting a business. There are endless ways to get those resources you need! It may take more or less time, but there is nothing to stop you: the resources appear.

Then you’ll have to come up with a plan and put it into practice, but don’t get overwhelmed if things don’t go quite right. Obstacles are not failures. The error, in addition to being expected, is part of growth.

Another instance is to assemble your work team: encourage yourself to seek specific external resources and you will notice that the results are much better than asking favors from acquaintances, following the mistaken belief that it will be cheaper that way.

What is the market you are targeting needing? Developing that listening, looking carefully to detect that need, will help you develop your skills and make the necessary adjustments. It is also valuable to learn to differentiate yourself from those who do the same as you: the competition is one of the best possibilities we have to make a difference.

Finally, generating bonds of trust is very important. Long-term business relationships are based purely and exclusively on trust. For this to happen, both sides have to win.

There are many chips that we can move to be successful entrepreneurs. Leading your project from the rational, beyond what is your passion, will make you constantly grow as a person and professional. Challenge yourself every day to keep growing. Incorporate new tools that highlight your imprint. The point is not to “throw in the towel” in the face of the pitfalls that arise.
