The coming-of-age adventure features an all-star international cast including award-winning actors Oscar Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan (Everything everywhere at the same time); Ben Wang (You can do it Chang); Yeo Yann Yann (Wet Season), a two-time International Emmy Award nominee; chin han (Mortal Kombat); daniel wu (Reminiscence); the former taekwondo champion jimmy liu; and sydney taylor (Just Add Magic).
Introducing audiences to a pantheon of mythical Chinese characters, Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu plays Shiji Niangniang, the goddess of Stones; Ronny Chieng is the unconventional monk Ji Gong; Jimmy O.Yang it is the Dragon King Ao Guang; James Hong he is Emperor of Jade; leonard wu is Niu Mowang/Bull Demon; and Poppy Liu It’s Princess Iron Fan. The series also features Lisa Lu like acupuncturist Ni Yang ya rosalie chiang like student activist Suzy Nakamura.
