The president of the Villa Gesell Municipal Tourism Entity, Marcelo Iglesias, informed Télam that “more than 81 thousand people visited the district, which represented 8 percent more people than in the same period last year.”


Likewise, it reported that “hotel occupancy during the four days was 76 percent on average over 27,000 beds, being in Mar de las Pampas, 84%; Mar Azul, 74%; Las Gaviotas, 76% and Villa Gesell, 73 %, out of a total of 202 hotel establishments”.
The official described the long weekend as “very positive” and recalled that “the summer season was successful” while predicting that “the winter season will be very good” as well.
“Only 350 kilometers from the City of Buenos Aires, this coastal district of Buenos Aires that includes the towns of Villa Gesell, Mar de las Pampas, Las Gaviotas and Mar Azul offers a cultural offer throughout the year, which allows it to become in a tourist pole for 12 months,” he said.
