Netflix confirmed that The Diplomaseries from the writers and producers of west wing and Homelandsand starring keri russell which premiered on Thursday, April 20 on the streaming platform, was renewed for a second season.
Speaking about the revamp, Russell said: “I’m delighted to be back for another round of this clever show. Dare I say it’s funny? Thank you Netflix for giving us another chance.”
The Diploma dethroned The Night Agent on the weekly global Top 10 charts Netflix in its first week of release. The latter was also renewed for a second season last month.
