Starting today, those who have recovered from a corona infection can also get a digital vaccination certificate in pharmacies. Those affected have to present three documents.
From this Friday on, digital corona vaccination certificates should also be available in pharmacies for those who have recovered who have also received a vaccination. The necessary technical solution has now been implemented, as the German Pharmacists Association announced on Thursday in Berlin.
More than 20 million vaccination certificates have already been issued via the pharmacy system, said chairman Thomas Dittrich. For citizens who have gone through an infection and therefore only received a single vaccination afterwards, it was technically not yet possible. “Now it’s working.”
Those who have recovered must submit three documents
In order to get the digital proof to show on the mobile phone, those who have recovered would have to present three documents to the pharmacy:
- an ID with a photo
- proof of a positive PCR test
- and proof of the one-time vaccination, for example in the yellow vaccination book.
“After all, there are more than 3.7 million convalescents in the country, many of whom have since been vaccinated,” said Dittrich. “The vaccination certificate can help you to enjoy the summer and vacation time more carefree”. The offer is free for citizens, pharmacies receive a good 5.04 euros plus VAT.
A total of 60 million digital vaccination certificates issued
The creation of the digital evidence started in mid-June. They are available in medical practices and vaccination centers immediately after vaccination. A code is generated for this, which can be scanned with a smartphone or taken on paper and scanned later. This is also possible at a later date in pharmacies. In addition, QR codes are to be sent by post after vaccinations have already taken place in vaccination centers, which you can then scan yourself.
A total of 60 million digital certificates have now been created through all channels – and thus around 30 million digital vaccination records. The background to this is that a certificate is now issued for each vaccination – for first and second vaccinations. Those who have already been fully vaccinated receive two certificates if they are subsequently stored in the app. With the Johnson & Johnson remedy, only one syringe is required for full vaccination protection.
