The Pampean Region, made up of the provinces of Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Santa Fe, will be the first to start the Open Kitchen cycle that is part of the GustAR program.
Open Kitchen is a space in which the productive and cultural wealth of the Argentine agri-food chain will be disseminated from the promotion of gastronomic tourism, highlighting the work of each producer, regional cuisine and local food.
The event will be on the 9th floor of the Kirchner Cultural Center with Free admission on Friday 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 May from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. During these three days, through workshops, informative talks, cooking classes, tastings and product sales, the public will be able to take a tour of the productive and cultural diversity of each province in this region.
The cooking shows will be one of the great attractions of Cocina Abierta with the presence of the chef on Friday, May 5 at 5:00 p.m. Juan Braceli, who will be making a recipe with sampedrina sweet potato, mushrooms and lamb meat, within the framework of the Argentine Lamb National Campaign.
For Saturday, May 6 at the same time, the Brigade of Chefs and Cooks from FEGHRA (Federation of Gastronomic Hotel Businesses of the Argentine Republic) will surprise the public with regional aromas and flavors.
Meanwhile he sunday may 7also at 5:00 p.m., it will be the turn of Madame Papin who, with his fun style of cooking, will prepare a dish with silverside and potatoes as the focus of the National Campaign “Eat Fish”.
The youngest will also have their space with the Children’s Workshops where the importance of eating fish and other healthy foods will be promoted.
The public will have the opportunity to learn directly about the work carried out by each producer of alfajores, honey, preserves, cheeses, mushrooms, baked goods, legumes, snacks and craft beer, organic products, among other categories that will be present. You will be able to see the preparation and taste alfajores, discover the qualities of the Denomination of Origin Salame de Tandil, learn about the production of the geographical indication Kiwi Mar y Sierras del Sudeste de Buenos Aires, how the classic San Pedro ensaimada is made, or what means that the typical Salami from Colonia Caroya has a Geographical Indication.
In addition, every day there will be different artistic activities linked to the region and spaces dedicated to tourist destinations.
