With exhibitions and events, the Evita Museum commemorates the birth of Eva Perón

104 years after the birth of Eva Perón, which is commemorated tomorrow, June 7, the National Institute for Historical Research Eva Perón-Evita Museum organizes exhibitions in towns in Buenos Aires, an act in the City of Buenos Aires and the exhibition of ” Being Evita: the path of equality”, at the Hermanas Mirabal House Museum, in the Dominican Republic.

“Born in 1919 in the Buenos Aires town of Los Toldos, Evita was one of the most influential women in Argentine history and became a symbol of global recognition, associated with the fight for equality, which even today continues to be a value of inspiration for the new generations. For this reason, we continue to look for opportunities to reflect on his life, his time and the ways to promote his legacy,” the Museum said in a statement.

“Evita is a unique political leader. At only 33 years old, she transformed the lives of millions of Argentines and Argentines. In a male territory, she built not only a space for herself, but for all of us,” said Cristina Álvarez Rodríguez, president of the INIHEP-Museo Evita.

To commemorate her figure, in conjunction with the Hermanas Mirabal House-Museum, the exhibition “Being Evita: the path of equality” is officially inaugurated on May 11, which is exhibited in the gardens of the “Las mariposas” museum, in the Dominican city of Salcedo, Hermanas Mirabal province. On that occasion, the prizes for the “Pinta la Igualdad” Contest will also be awarded.

This exhibition reviews the life, thought and action of Evita through images, texts, and audiovisual pieces that tell the values ​​that Evita professed: new struggles, equality, courage, solidarity, inspiration, work, dignity and passion.

Meanwhile, the INIHEP-Museo Evita, the Evita Museum Association and the Organization of Ibero-American States are exhibiting the exhibition “Lives that change lives. Notable women in Ibero-America”, in the Deliberative Council of Baradero.

The exhibition proposes a journey that recovers the history of women in different fields such as politics, human rights, education, science and the arts.

Tomorrow the exhibition “Evita March” will be inaugurated within the framework of the “Evita Nos Habita Festival” organized by the Ciudad Jardín Popular Library, in the province of Buenos Aires, where the book “Evita and Teodora. Two lives, one destiny”, by Marta Lucia Nesta, at 5:00 p.m.

As every year there will be a tribute act of the CBO N°1 “Evita” school for the Birth of its “Patroness”, on Tuesday, May 9, at 9:30 a.m. at the school located at Los Patos 3080, in the City of Buenos Aires. Aires.

On the other hand, the Evita Museum maintains a permanent exhibition based on the life and work of one of the most notable women in Argentine history.

In this 20th century house, Transit Home No. 2 for women and children at risk operated. The tour includes original objects among which personal objects, photos, publications and records of the time stand out.

In addition, the temporary exhibition “Sisters” is exhibited, which includes the biographies of the Mirabal sisters: María Argentina, María Teresa and Aída Patria Mercedes; a symbol of the fight against all forms of gender-based violence.

Thanks to the commitment shared with the Hermanas Mirabal House Museum; Evita and “Las Mariposas” can be recognized in the fight for equality to which they dedicated their lives.

Meanwhile, today at 4:00 p.m., a new workshop “Paint Equality” will be held in the children’s space of the Evita Museum, regarding the “Sisters” exhibition.

In its second edition, the call aims to sensitize the new generations in the fight against all forms of gender violence.

Boys and girls who visit the Evita Museum in the company of their families may participate.

Today and tomorrow at 4:00 p.m., there will be guided tours for the general public, in Spanish and with limited space, in order of arrival. The Museum can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Lafinur 2988, in the City of Buenos Aires.
