The film starring cillian murphy as J.Robert Oppenheimer, theoretical physicist and the so-called “Father of the atomic bomb”. Set during World War II, oppenheimer details the scientist’s attempt to create the world’s first nuclear weapon.

Murphy is a veteran of previous Nolan films such as “Dunkirk”, “The origin” and “Batman Begins” (almost played the Dark Knight, but lost to Christian bale and instead he played the Scarecrow). The set also includes Matt Damon like General Leslie Groves, Robert Downey Jr. such as Lewis Strauss, a member of the Atomic Energy Commission, and Emily Blunt as Oppenheimer’s wife, Katherine. The cast also includes rami malek and Florence Pugh.

Oppenheimer was a theoretical physicist who became the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory (United States), and directed the research and development of the bomb that ended World War II, under what was covertly called the Project Manhattan.
The film is based on the biographical novel “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer” of kai bird and the deceased Martin J Sherwinwhich won a Pulitzer Prize in 2006. In addition to adapting the book for the screen, Nolan will serve as director and producer on the project, along with producers Charles Roven and Emma Thomas. “Openheimer” marks Nolan’s first film since “Memento” from 2000 that is not released by Warner Bros.after the relationship between him and the studio ended after the release of “tenet”.
