Roger Waters returns to Argentina with his farewell tour of the stage “This Is Not A Drill” (“this is not a drill”) and the general sale has already begun after the pre-sale sold out in an hour and a half. With production of D.F. Entertainment, his visit to Argentina is confirmed for November 21 at the River Plate stadium.
Waters had to go through these latitudes to say goodbye to his Argentine fans – one of the most loyal he has in the world – with whom he developed a close bond throughout his career. The place could not be other than the Monumental, where he gave 9 unforgettable recitals in 2012 as part of his world tour “The Wall Live”which represented an absolute record for the number of shows in River in a single visit for the history of the show in Argentina -which he maintained for ten years-, added to the two shows that he also gave in that stadium with his tour “Dark Side of the Moon” in 2007. If it is about who did more shows in River in his career, with this recital Roger Waters comes first with the Rolling Stoneswho did a total of 12 shows in River.

How is the Roger Waters farewell show
The show considers how highly conceptual from beginning to end, where materials from the emblematic albums of Pink Floyd, The Wall, Dark Side of the Moon (who just turned 50), Animals and Wish You Were Here come together with more recent tracks from his solo career, including his most recent release, “The Bar” (2022), to shed light on some of the challenges of the world we live in.
The setlist includes 20 songs from Pink Floyd as “Us & Them”, “Comfortably Numb” and “Wish You Were Here”, to name a few. The projections accompany various themes raised from music, giving rise to a show faithful to the spirit behind the entire career of this musician, composer and lyricist who was always involved with the circumstances of his time.
Waters sings, plays guitar, bass and piano, and will be accompanied on stage Jonathan Wilson on guitar and voice Dave Kilminster on guitar and voice Jon Carin on keyboards, guitar and voice, gus seyffert in bass and voice, Robert Walker on keyboards, Joey Waronker in drums, Amanda Belair in voice and Seamus Blake with the sax
At almost 80 years old, nothing stops the expressive and creative power of Roger Watersand without a doubt his show in River will be one of the most relevant cultural events of the year, as well as the last opportunity to see him in Argentina.
