Nick Wilder reported on a car accident in his adopted home of Montana. By reacting quickly, he could prevent worse.
Nick Wilder (68) was in a car accident. The actor and former on-board doctor on the ZDF “dream ship” reported on the accident in his adopted home of Montana, which occurred on a highway access road. “A nightmare that many people can understand. I wanted to get on the track and saw this heavy pick-up lurch towards me at high speed,” says Wilder. The actor explains that the driver must have fallen asleep or passed out.
Actor sustained injuries
The 68-year-old steered his car to the right so that the drifting accident driver could not drive head-on into another car with a boat trailer. “There are a few things that go through your head in such a situation. You only react automatically,” says Wilder. The driver had “slashed his car from front to back”.
After the impact, Wilder sustained cuts on his left arm through pieces of glass, which later had to be sewn. The actor also suffered bruises and a severe headache. Other people are said to have been injured according to “Bild”, the police should continue to investigate.
From January 2011 to December 2020, Wilder took on the role of ship’s doctor Dr. Wolf Sander on the ZDF “dream ship”. Since leaving, he is said to have spent a lot of time in Helena in the US state of Montana.
