Ireland Baldwin defends father: “I know him, you don’t know him”

Ireland Baldwin receives tons of hateful messages following the fatal accident on the set of her father Alec Baldwin. On Twitter, she also messed with a Trump supporter.

A week ago cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died on the set of the western “Rust” – from a shot from Alec Baldwin’s prop gun. The reason: the actor’s gun contained live ammunition. The assistant director now admitted his own mistakes. Now there is talk of possible negligent homicide.

While Alec Baldwin was questioned several times by the police about the incident, his daughter Ireland Baldwin also felt the consequences of the accident. The 26-year-old wrote on Instagram that she received “hideous and threatening comments, e-mails, text messages and voice messages” online. “I know my father, you just don’t know him. I love you Dad,” she added. Ireland Baldwin is the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger.

To demonstrate what a great dad she has, Ireland shared a comment from another user who “stands alone” in the plethora of ugly messages she gets. The woman recalled a story she had seen more than 20 years ago while filming the film “Thomas, the Fantastic Locomotive”. While other stars kept them busy with crazy special requests, Baldwin only had one concern. “He just wanted to make sure that milk and cornflakes were available in his room when his daughter came to visit,” wrote the user.

Ireland Baldwin takes on Trump supporter

One of the ugly comments Ireland got came from Candace Owens. The supporter of the former US President Donald Trump had mocked on Twitter that Baldwin had portrayed Trump and his supporters as an “evil murderer” in his parody on the TV program “Saturday Night Live” for four years. What happened to the actor “would be an example of poetic justice” if an innocent person had not been killed, Owens said.

Ireland then turned to Owens publicly. “I am ashamed to breathe the same air as this person. A woman has died. Your tweet lacks information, your ignorance hurts people,” she wrote. Subsequently, private messages are said to have been exchanged. Owens has since deleted her tweet.
