The former president’s biopic would soon arrive on Amazon Prime Video. In the last few hours, it has emerged who are the actors who will play him and Zulema Yoma.
The adaptations of real lives to fiction continue on their way and the cameras now seem to rest on the figure of the late former president of Argentina Carlos Menem. “Follow me!”the series which is being worked on since 2020 to Amazon Prime Video, will have eight episodes directed by Ariel Winograd and seems to have found its protagonists.
Leonardo Sbaragliawho already worked with Winogradwould be in charge to represent the former president in this biopic. The series would also feature Juan Minujinalthough it is not known in what role, and with Griselda Siciliani as Zulema Yoma.
According to entertainment journalist Laura Ubfal there is no official confirmation yet due to the contracts signed by the protagonists, but the production is in charge of Kapow and Mulata Films. There are different versions that indicate that the series could be filmed in the coming months or, no later than the first half of 2024.
The production would focus on his years as president and could take inspiration from the book of Gabriela Cerrutti: The boss, life and work of Carlos Saúl Menem.
The series began production in 2020.by the producer Mariano Varela and had authorization from Menem himself. Upon death, Zulemite took the reins of production but part of the ex-president’s family spoke out against since they had not given their authorization to carry out the fiction.
