Outstanding activities for tomorrow at the Book Fair

The presentation of the book “Seeds in the Wind” by former Uruguayan President José “Pepe” Mujica, a talk on the social and political challenges 40 years after Argentine democracy, the presentation of the book “The End of Inflation” by the presidential candidate by La Libertad Avanza, Javier Milei, and the talk “Political prisoners, between dictatorships and democracies”, will take place tomorrow, Sunday May 14, on the last day of the Buenos Aires International Book Fair, which takes place in La Rural.

Among the most outstanding activities, Nicolás Trotta will present, at 4:00 p.m., the book “Seeds in the Wind”, which brings together talks that Pepe Mujica had with two journalists. The talk in which the former Uruguayan president will participate will be held in the Carlos Gorostiza room, in the Yellow pavilion.

Meanwhile, the writers Mariano Quirós, Camila Fabbri, Leila Sucari, and Luciana Sousa will participate, also at 4:00 p.m., in the talk “Fiction: Links and territories. Spaces and links as engines of narrative”, in the Rodolfo Walsh room of the Yellow Pavilion.

At 5:30 p.m., Jorge Macri and Leandro Santoro will participate in a talk on “The challenges of 40 years of democracy”, in the Carlos Gorostiza room of the Yellow pavilion.

In a tribute to the Chilean writer Roberto Bolano, twenty years after his death, the talk “Wild Bridges” will take place, with the participation of Valerie Miles, Walter Lezcano and Christian Herbach. The activity will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Domingo Faustino room Sarmiento, from the White pavilion.

At the same time, the book “El Pastor. Francisco’s challenges, reasons and reflections on his pontificate” will be presented, with the participation of the authors Francesca Ambrogetti and Sergio Rubín, along with Nelson Castro. The activity will take place in the Julio Cortázar room, in the Yellow pavilion

Meanwhile, the candidate for president of La Libertad Avanza, Javier Milei, will present his book “The End of Inflation” at 5:30 p.m. in the José Hernández room, in the Red Pavilion.

Within the framework of the cycle on 40 years of democracy, at 7:00 p.m., the talk “Political prisoners, between dictatorships and democracies: those who escaped, the disappeared, the survivors” will be held, with the participation of Miriam Lewin, co-author with Olga Wornat of “Whores and Guerrillas. Sexual Crimes in Clandestine Detention Centers”; Gabriela Saidon, author of “La montonera. Biography of Norma Arrostito”; Débora D’Antonio, author of “Political prisoners. The prison escapes of Córdoba and Buenos Aires 1971” and Ana Jemio author of “In the footsteps of terror. The Independence Operation and the Beginning of the Genocide in Argentina. The activity will take place in the Ernesto Sábato room, in the Blue pavilion

Meanwhile, at the same time, the book “Las olvidadas” by Cristina Mucci will be presented, with the participation of Hinde Pomeraniec, Oscar Barney Finn, Valeria Casteló Jouvert, Claudio Zeiger and Genaro Press. The activity will take place in the Rodolfo Walsh room, in the Yellow pavilion.
