US actor Matthew Perry (52) is working on an autobiography in which he will report on his life and career. , Flatiron Books secured worldwide rights with a mid-seven-digit deal.
Perry is best known as one of the stars of the US hit series “Friends” (1994-2004), in which he played Chandler Bing. In May he returned to the original location of the cult comedy in “Friends: The Reunion” together with the other series stars Jennifer Aniston (52), Courteney Cox (57), Lisa Kudrow (58), David Schwimmer (54) and Matt LeBlanc (54) on the premises of Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank.

In his book, Perry takes readers behind the scenes and onto the stage of the sitcom. According to the announcement, it will also be about his private struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, which he is openly dealing with. In a BBC interview in 2016, he admitted: “I can’t remember three years, somewhere between season 3 and season 6 I was a little signed off.”
