Milongas Extremas presents a live Creole version of “Dice”, a classic by La Vela Puerca, with the participation of musicians Sebastián “Enano” Teysera, Sebastián “Cebolla” Cebreiro and Nicolás “Mandril” Lieutier, members of that popular group rocker.

The communion between both Charrúa projects, sealed on August 4, 2022 during the show entitled “5 Estaciones”, finally reached digital platforms along with the video of that performance and as part of a series of songs that will come to light in throughout this year.

“Last year we did a show at the Sodre National Auditorium in Montevideo and several songs are coming out of that show. Now we wanted to share ‘Dice’, which was tremendous. For us it is a great emotion and joy to have recorded it with them, because we We grew up listening to La Vela Puerca”, pointed out Pablo “Paio” Piñeyro, one of the guitars and voices of this Creole string quintet, to Télam.

The alliance between both groups arose in the midst of a pandemic and the original idea was to put on a show called “Milongas Puercas” with versions of both projects and versions of Alfredo Zitarrosa and the Spanish group Extremoduro.

They rehearsed a few times, but postponed the plan when shows with an audience resumed in Uruguay: “The show at Sodre ended up being a nice opportunity to put a classic to the test and see what new things could appear in that crossover with the milonga”, added.

“‘Dice’ is a very powerful song. While we were looking for a cover song, this song came along and it had both folklore and rock to make it an ambitious proposal. We wanted to take advantage of that fusion and test it in a more acoustic format, to see what else was he showing us,” he said.

Milongas Extremas, which had already released a first single from that concert of the song “So Payaso”, will return to Buenos Aires on September 7 to perform at Niceto Club in Palermo.
