Princess Kate caused a surprise at the Eurovision Song Contest – she opened the competition with a video performance.
On May 13, Princess Kate opened the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) on the piano together with last year’s winner Kalush Orchestra – in a clip shown in the live broadcast. The royals also took to social media and shared a clip of Kate performing once again in the fairytale blue dress. “A Eurovision surprise,” wrote the palace.
It was Kate’s pleasure to be part of this “special performance” with the Kalush Orchestra, who won the ESC in 2022 with the song “Stefania”. The whole thing is said to have been recorded earlier this month. Other stars such as composer Andrew Lloyd Webber were also seen at the opening.

Numerous users and royal fans were full of praise for Prince William’s wife in the comments. “Absolutely wonderful,” said one user. Another asked: “Is there anything Princess Catherine can’t do?” Royal critics, on the other hand, were not very convinced.
