First, Hannah wishes to express her deepest and sincere condolences to Halyna’s family and friends. She was an inspiring woman in film whom Hannah looked up to. He also offers his thoughts and prayers for Joel to recover quickly. Hannah is devastated and completely beside herself by the events that have happened.

She would like to address some falsehoods that have been told to the media, which have falsely portrayed and slandered her. Safety is Hannah’s number one priority on set. Ultimately, this set would never have been compromised if live ammunition had not been introduced. Hannah has no idea where the live rounds came from. Hannah and the prop master gained control of the guns and she never saw anyone fire actual rounds with these guns and she wouldn’t allow it either. They were locked up every night and for lunch and there is no way that any of them were missing or shot by crew members. Hannah still, to this day, has never had an accidental discharge. The first on this set was the prop master and the second was a stuntman after Hannah informed him that her gun was full of spotlights.

Hannah was hired for two positions in this movie, which made it extremely difficult to focus on her job as a gunsmith. She struggled for training, the days to keep the guns, and the proper time to prepare for the shots, but was eventually overruled by production and her department. The entire production set became unsafe due to various factors, including a lack of safety meetings. This was not Hannah’s fault.

Hannah and her legal team will address more of these rumors and the entire incident in a statement next week.
