The Ministry of the Environment of Mendozathrough decree 960 of the Official Gazette, authorized the direction of Renewable Natural Resources to carry out the advance sale for promotion, long and short trekking for the 2023/2024 season of the Aconcagua Provincial Park with a promotional price, it was reported this Friday from the provincial tourism area.
It’s about a protected area in the Argentine Andes on the border with Chile where the hill of the same name is located, whose top is covered with snow and is one of the highest in South America.

At the entrance of the park you can take a path until the Los Horcones lagoon and the Quebrada del Durazno which, given its altitude, is home to huge Andean condors.
Also, nearby is the Puente del Inca, which is a natural bridge of orange stones that crosses the river Las Cuevas.
Season 2023
In general, the summer season runs from November 1 to April 30 of the following year, with tourist and sports activitiesand winter from May 1 to October 30.

In the recitals of the decree, they justified the discounts to carry out activities on Mount Aconcagua, indicating that “given the prevailing conditions in the local economy from the Covid-19 pandemic situation from the year 2020, it is necessary to promote actions that allow the development of tourist activities in the protected natural areas of the province”.
