A new edition of the Coliseo de Poesía: Aventuras del Verso Argentino cycle will take place next Wednesday, May 24, at the National Library with the participation of Alejandra Kamiya, Eduardo Rubinschik and Mariana Travacio.

Under the title “Poetry by narrators”, the meeting will seek to talk about the relationship between poetry and narration and remember who the first poets who read were, how this map of poetry readings was put together, what are the meeting points and disagreement between poetry and narration, how poetics develops within the framework of a narrative text, is there a literature in which poetry does not participate, how are the acts of poeticizing and narrating different, and how does narration produce a aesthetic effect.
The Coliseo de Poesía and El Verso Argentino are dedicated to promoting the reading and dissemination of local poetics, as well as a critical review of their traditions and their protagonists. The intention is to broaden the perspectives and possibilities of reflection on gender and dialogue with other arts and disciplines, it was reported in a statement.
Coordinated by Roxana Artal and Guillermo Saavedra, the activity will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Augusto Raúl Cortazar Room, of the National Library, located at Agüero 2502, in the City of Buenos Aires.
