“Can someone please tell me when I’ll ever feel old?” “It’s ridiculous. I keep hearing these numbers, but honestly I don’t understand them. It’s just numbers, so what’s the problem?”
The singer had recently made herself scarce on social media and had not posted anything for two months. In March she announced that she was working on two albums with her then 40-year-old partner Alexander “AE” Edwards. “He’s a producer and a lyricist, he does everything, I’m very happy about that.”
Separation from friend who is 40 years younger
The relationship has now allegedly failed. Three weeks ago that Cher and the 37-year-old broke up. Nothing is known about the reasons, not even who initiated the separation. Contrary to speculation, the couple was never engaged – despite a huge diamond ring that Edwards is said to have given Cher for Christmas.
The 77-year-old met the rapper at Fashion Week in Paris and made the relationship public at the end of last year. Asked about the age difference, she said in December 2022: “It looks ridiculous on paper, sure. But in real life we get along wonderfully.”
