Tina Turner has passed away at the age of 83. Now the cause of death of the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” has been determined.
Rock and soul legend Tina Turner (1939-2023) passed away yesterday, May 24th. . Turner’s press representatives told the British newspaper that the singer died of natural causes. Turner’s spokesman said yesterday: “Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’, passed away peacefully at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich at the age of 83 after a long illness.”
Numerous health problems
Turner has repeatedly struggled with serious health problems in recent years. The singer and eight-time Grammy award winner has suffered from high blood pressure for decades. In 2017 she received a kidney transplant. The organ was donated by her second husband, the German music producer Erwin Bach (67).
She was also diagnosed with colon cancer a year earlier. The singer suffered a stroke in 2009. A second followed in 2013, just three weeks after her marriage to Bach. As Turner revealed in her 2018 autobiography My Love Story, she had to learn to walk again with the help of a physical therapist.
