Artisans from all over the country will be able to compete with their works to participate in the “1st Municipal Hall of the artisan and his work” that will be held in the Buenos Aires district of Avellaneda, from July 14 to 21, in order to give visibility to the work of creatives and doers so that they can develop more and more in their trade.
In this way, the Municipal Institute of Argentine Folklore and Crafts (Imfaa), of Avellaneda summons artisans to present their works in clay, horn, bone, leather, textiles, wood, cane, gourd, metal from June 25 to 30. , stone, basketry, glass, fusion and other materials.
The Municipal Hall of the Craftsman “seeks to recognize in the first instance, at
maker, the creative, the producer, the craftsman and broaden the panorama, sometimes

The members of the jury will select 80 works, and will award 1st and 2nd prizes and mentions to the various specialties and from the first prizes the acquisition prizes will be selected, which will be $120,000, for the Acquisition prize for the Municipality of Avellaneda Artisan Work; of $100,000 for the Acquisition prize for the Honorable Artisan Work of the Deliberative Council; $80,000 for the “Metales Julio” Acquisition Award for a piece made of metal, and $40,000 for the Stimulus Award granted by Imfaa to a local artisan.
Although only the great prizes will be acquired, the artisans who have received prizes and mentions will be able to donate their work free of charge, which will become part of the Imfaa Municipal Museum of Crafts.
According to the contest regulations, works that demonstrate the development and trade of a craftsman, as well as mastery of the material, creative attitude and functionality, and that have been made by one or more people, detailing the authors, may participate.
Each participant may register up to two pieces of any specialty and copies, reproductions and models that do not belong to the contestant artisan will not be taken into account.
The reception of pieces will be from June 25 to 30 at the Imfaa headquarters, located at Alsina 149, in the city of Avellaneda, from 3 to 7 p.m., while the opening of the exhibition and awards ceremony will take place on July 14. at 19.
