More of 1,500 people were arrested this saturday in Netherlands during a protest ecologist. Among those arrested are an actress from the popular TV series Game of Thrones.
The environmental collective Extinction Rebellion held a protest on a highway in Hague, the Dutch police announced. The militants blocked during the afternoon the motorway A12 in the center of the city, to protest against the state subsidies for fossil fuels.
Among those arrested is the actress Carice van Houten, 46 years oldwho played the priestess Melisandre in the Game of Thrones series. Van Houten was freed and returned to her home, the Dutch press agency ANP said, citing the actress’ representative.

In a video posted on his Instagram account, Van Houten, dressed in a red poncho, is seen receiving a spray of water fired from a police cannon. It was not specified if he is part of the group of protesters who they will be processed.
