The former head of the Britpop band Oasis, Noel Gallagher, can imagine a band together with players from his favorite club Manchester City. Top scorer Erling Haaland definitely belongs on the drums, said the 56-year-old of the German Press Agency. His justification: “Because he’s a damn beast and would beat the shit out of the drums.”
Former City striker Mario Balotelli would do well as a rapper, Gallagher says. Midfield ace Kevin De Bruyne should hit the keys as a “keyboard magician”. According to Gallagher, a good bass player would be England centre-back John Stones. He sees himself playing the guitar.
“The guys on the team are just great at the moment. Absolutely great,” enthused the rock star. The last time he cried was when Man City became Premier League champions. The club is now going into the FA Cup final as favorites against city rivals Manchester United (Saturday, 4 p.m.).
