World fame as “head on a stick”
The actor with the impressive face worked in the film and TV industry for over six decades. He first gained notoriety in 1997 for his role in the sci-fi comedy Men in Black. He is also known from the film “Pirates of the Caribbean – At the End of the World” from 2007, in which he embodied alongside Johnny Depp (59) and Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards (79).
Notorious Hollywood villain
During his long career, Calderón specialized in portraying odd villains. In one of his last interviews: “I love playing these kinds of characters because people really hate me. They tell me on the street how much they hate me. But for me this is my success. Because that means that I was able to convince people with what I played.”
